The DocuMate 765 production scanner offers a powerful combination of image quality, 10,000 page daily duty cycle and 65 pages per minute speed in portrait. The DocuMate 765 has the ability to scan a wide range of document sizes and supports long document scanning up to 34 inches. The DocuMate 765 is powered by Visioneer OneTouch scanning technology for simplifying scan jobs and workflows. Visioneer OneTouch eliminates the multiple steps usually required to save scanned documents in popular file formats, including searchable PDF, and send them to ECM applications such as Microsoft SharePoint, Kofax Ascent Collection Server, EMC QuickScan Pro, Hyland Software’s OnBase, Laserfiche, DocuWare, Xerox DocuShare and ScanFlow Store and/or to devices such as printers and storage systems in just one touch. There is also a software development kit available to create OneTouch links to custom and proprietary applications or locations such as printers, fax servers or network folders.

Scan time productivity tool
While VRS provides world-class thresholding, cropping, and deskew, AIPE (or the Adrenaline Image Processing Engine) is a Kofax software product that adds a range of functions to your ImageControls scan application. AIPE software includes the Enhanced Bar Code engine and Patch Code detection, which support any image type (bitonal, grayscale or color). For bitonal image processing, AIPE provides Forms Recognition, On-the-Fly Rotation, Line Removal, and a range of Image Enhancement Filters. (AIPE is also a solution for stored images of any format: color, grayscale or bitonal).

Auto Rotation
Documents can be scanned in any orientation, reducing preparation requirements. The Auto-Rotation feature electronically rotates the image so that it can be read right side up by the scanner operator.

Auto Color Detect
Scanning color for color, bitonal for black and white. With Auto Color Detect, the DocuMate 765 eliminates the pre-sorting of batched documents and the inserting of patch codes and separator sheets previously needed to capture color content.

Blank Page Deletion
Eliminates blank pages when scanned in duplex. This feature reduces files size and storage requirements by detecting and deleting blank pages within a scanned image. In addition, it also reduces document preparation, as you can put both simplex and duplex documents in the same batch.

VRS Professional improves your workflow and reduces the total time needed to scan even the largest volumes of mixed batch documents.

Auto-Resolve and Multifeed Ignore Improve Scanning Efficiency
The DocuMate 765 scanner incorporates ultrasonic multifeed to detect multiple pages from going through the scanner. This technology is the standard for multifeed detection. Ultrasonic multifeed uses sound waves to detect if there are two documents going through the scanner at the same time. This technology assures you that all of your documents get scanned.

Auto Resolve
With Auto Resolve, if a multifeed is detected, the scanner prevents the image from being sent to the scanning application. The multifed document is immediately re-scanned without losing its place in the image batch. This significantly increases scanning efficiency. By eliminating the need to re-scan the document after the batch is complete.

Multifeed Ignore
With Multifeed Ignore, the scanner can be quickly and easily set up to allow an intend-ed multifeed document to be successfully scanned. This includes documents with attached sticky notes, photographs or envelopes. The Multifeed Ignore feature allows you to capture all information in and on the document without extra document preparation.

Reduce Service Calls and Extend Scanner Life
The DocuMate 765’s smart design allows the scanner to be maintained by the user, virtually eliminating the need for maintenance service calls. It includes a User Utility to track scanner usage and status. With the User Utility, the scanner operator can track the total number of scans, the software version and cleaning schedule. This feature extends the scanner life by tracking preventative maintenance activities. In addition, if there is an issue with the scanner, the User Utility can help you quickly diagnose it. By providing instant scanner status, the time to resolution for most hardware issues is shortened, keeping your scanner operating at peak capacity.
